Patriots Make History! 16-0

The New England Patriots started the 2007 season facing great adversity. In early September Bill Belichick and the Pats were accused of cheating. They used a video camera to steal signals and otherwise violate league rules. Coach Belichick was fined $500,000, the largest fine ever imposed on a NFL head coach. The team was fined an additional $250,000 and they had to forfeit they're first round draft pick in the 08' draft.

Several hours ago they made history; they are the only team to have gone 16-0 during the regular season. Who was the last team to go undefeated in a single season? The 72' Dolphins and that was when the season only lasted 14 games.

New England ended they're perfect season with a thrilling 4th quarter comeback victory over the New York Giants. Both Tom Brady and Randy Moss broke individual records. Brady has past Peyton Manning's 49 touchdown passes with 50. Randy Moss broke Jerry Rice's record for 22 touchdown catches. To top the record breaking night off, the Pats finished the season with an astounding 589 points this season... and yes, that is another single season record.

All hats off to the Giants, they played extremely well all evening long. They had already clinched a play-off spot coming into tonight's game at (10-6), however. From the minute they set foot on the field they challenged the Pats in every faucet of the game, but in the end fell to New England 38-35.

A killer ending to an incredible regular season. Of course tonight's win won't mean nearly as much if they don't win the next 3 games. It all goes to show how bogus the entire " cheating scandal " was. You can't be called a cheater for innovating something that is already done. The whole organization has done a magnificent job this season. The deserve all the credit in the world, I hope to see them cap it off with a Super Bowl victory.

All hail New England.
